Fresh Catch Maine Lobster – Market Price

The Red Hook Lobster Pound specializes in fresh-catch lobster as opposed to pounded lobster. Fresh-catch lobster comes directly off of the Lobster Boats and has not been sitting in cordoned-off coves or (pounds). The best analogy is to free-range chicken vs. the standard farmed variety. Our lobster simply tastes more lobstery, and they are livelier, as they have been living in their natural environment up until the their trip to New York.

We do not sell lobster bigger than 2lbs, as the larger lobsters are the “breeders” and essential to sustaining a healthy lobster fishery. Maine has some of the strictest lobster fishery regulations, which means that our lobsters are not only delicious but ecologically sound.

All our items are take-out or eat-in. We have a simple but fun indoor picnic area for your enjoyment.

Lobster Rolls – $16.00

Our acclaimed lobster rolls are made with fresh-picked Maine lobster meat, at touch of homemade mayo (or not), a bit of celery and spices. If mayo is not to your liking, try a Connecticut Roll with just lobster and butter. We bring our top-split buns down from Biddeford Maine, to add to the authentic Maine experience.

Sweet Maine Shrimp tossed in a roasted garlic and tarragon mayo, served in a top-split JJ Nissen Bun.

Lobster Salad — $45.00 pp

The JJ Nissen bun is the original Maine lobster roll bun. We bring these down from Maine ourselves!
